REPORTING A FRAUD TO THE SFIO

Guidance For Private Applicants

We investigate matter involving serious or complex fraud. If you wish to report a fraud to the SFIO please examine our acceptance criteria first.

Case Acceptance Criterion

The key criterion is that the suspected fraud should appear to be serious or complex and falling within the parameters of the 'Charter' of this organisation. ( It is recommended that you read our Charter for further details regarding functioning of SFIO.)

If you wish to report a criminal offence of fraud which does not appear to meet the criteria of the SFIO you should bring the matter to the attention of appropriate authority like your local police.

Estimated amount that is involved in the alleged fraud?
How has the fraud been perpetrated? Please provide full names of the people and companies involved.
Do you suspect that a large number of other people have also been defrauded?	NO YES
Do you have documentary evidence in support of your allegation(s)	NO YES If the answer is ' yes ' , please retain this material for the time being. If  it is necessary for you to send it to the SFIO you will be asked to provide photocopies.
